Dogs Dig It's modern grooming salon provides a full range of top quality grooming services to Portland's best loved pups.  Dog's love our calm and nurturing grooming salon environment and parent's love our friendly customer service and personalized, expert dog grooming.  Centrally located on Portland's Eastside, Dogs Dig It's inner SE location is easy to find and has one of Portland's best coffee shops right across the street.



At Dogs Dig It, our goal is to make each dog's grooming experience as positive and comforting as possible.  Each of our groomers work with only one dog at a time, providing individualized, one on one care and attention for the entire duration of your dog's grooming appointment.  Grooming salons can be very noisy and stressful for dogs.  That's not the case at Dogs Dig It.  We do not have multiple dogs excessively barking while waiting in kennels for their turn with the groomer nor do we use cage dryers.  Our focus is on creating a calm, comforting quieter environment so dog's won't become overstimulated and stress out during their grooming appointment.


Our groomers are trained to work with all kinds of dogs, every shape, size, color, coat type, breed and personality.  Got a Doodle? We have you covered.  If your dog is elderly or finds grooming quite stressful, our groomers will work with you to accommodate for your dog's special needs.

Dogs Dig It has Portland's most experienced long-term staff team. Known in the industry as one of the best places to work, we attract some of Portland's most well-versed, experienced dog groomers and dog handlers. All of our dog handlers are experts in canine body and individual dog breed play styles. We only use proactive positive tools to manage and redirect our play groups. The staff at Dogs Dig It is it's most valued asset. They are the heart and soul of DDI, providing loving, expert care to our clients and their wonderful pups. Our dedicated, colorful team of dog geeks have over 30+ years of dog care experience in a variety of settings, such as vet care, dog training and other boarding and daycare businesses. Together, they work hard to provide high quality, exceptional care that Dogs Dig It is known for and your dog deserves.


Dogs Dig It is maintains a company culture where passionate, dog-loving individuals of all backgrounds, races, genders and identities feel empowered and supported. Many of our staff members have been at DDI for 1-2 years (or more) and enjoy a culture of honesty, teamwork and support. Our staff are paid $1 to $2 over the city’s minimum wage and enjoy a 3% matching 401k program. We consider sick time as flex time and pay yearly bonuses.


Our staff participates in both online and in person training programs designed to increase and expand our knowledge in canine body language, breed specific play styles, interactive yard activities and positive pack management techniques.  We also focus on communication skills both with customers and between staff members, encouraging and supporting team members to share ideas, providing honest feed back and thoughtful educational customer service.
